Well I wanted to share this with you guys cause I am so excited.. this weekend I went to the Christmas craft fair in my town and what do I see but the littlest older woman with racks and racks of reproductions and some of her own design AG doll stuff, Well DD went crazy I said well you dont even know if santa is bringing you a doll so not today she was so sad..I really felt bad for her.. but the lady had name cards on the table so I took one, I called her later that evening she told me to come over..I did and I bought 5 outfits for 50 dollars , she was so nice but lonely so I stayed with her for about 1 hour just talking and looking at her dolls , She is widowed and sews all day.. I dont know how to post pics but she made a repro of nellies coat which I bought, Sams christmas dress, Sams nighty, a equestrian outfit so many more .. but anyways she is making me the choclate cherry outfit tonight!! So this is the story , she like I said is widowed she told me all the little girls in the neighboorhood come to her house a couple times a month with the allowance or Bday money and buy stuff she said they pay with all change so she has provided them with a tin can and counts no thier honesty.. She also will do a birtday party she will make Tea I have to bring the cake and for 10.00 each little girl will leave with a outfit for thier AG doll .. I do have pics dont know how to post but you have to see the work she does its so good for a old woman.. PM if anyone wants to see.. Just thought I would share I figure when I can replace each outfit with real AG I will have my DD give it to one of her friends..

Oh! That is so cool she will have a tea party at her house! I really like that idea! I am glad you found someone to make specific things for you. I wonder if she can also make matching dresses for your DD and her doll?

What a sweet lady that seamstress is. I'm glad she has something to keep her busy and happy. That would be rewarding having the little girls stop by to buy something. I'd love to see pics of the outfits you bought.

That's so sweet. When I was a little girl the was a lady down the street from my grandmother who made Barbie doll clothes. On Saturday's she set up a card table in her yard. My grandmother would always give me 50 cents then my grandfather would pretend he didn't know she gave me money and he would do the same. Between their money, money I saved, or aunts and uncles I would have enough to buy an outfit. Thanks for bringing back a memory for me. I still have my Midge and she is in one of those outfits.

I really wanted to share the story with you because the lady was just so sincere, remember now she is old so to her to spend 25 dollars on an outfit must be outrageous, she said all the little girls have the doll and many cant afford outfits so she sells them to them for what ever they can save up.. to me that was so touching, she really cares about all the little girls.. I remember when I was little my grandmother would make me and my cousins barbie clothes we charished them because she put so much effort into them. Well I thought her story was befitting since it is almost Christmas

Where in MA was this fair? There's a lady who lives in N. Attleboro by LaSalette who sells nice AG clothes. Her husband and daughter sell the clothes with her at craft fairs and they are very nice. She has mostly pre-Mattel dolls and I was drooling over her Molly this year.
